It was more than 20 years ago when Rick and Kathy decided it was time to start a law firm they’d never seen before. One that puts the client first. One that emphasizes compassion. As a former insurance claims adjuster, and having previously defended insurance companies, Rick had seen enough. It was time to take this “insider experience” and stand up for what’s right. Kathy, a lawyer focusing on small business owners, wanted to do everything in her power to help brave entrepreneurs. Together, they formed Schroeder & Mandel to make a meaningful and positive difference in people’s lives. In 2016, Gabe Johnson joined the team and brought a wealth of experience in workers’ compensation law, plus his passion for doing the right thing. Gabe, too, used to represent employers and insurers – with this “insider” knowledge, he wanted to help injured workers get the benefits they deserve.
Today, our experienced trial lawyers represent clients throughout greater Minnesota and Wisconsin. Together, Rick, Kathy, and Gabe offer more than 60 years of cumulative legal knowledge and experience.
