We’ll get you started down the right path and help you to understand what your unique injuries and situation means to you.

Traumatic Brain Injuries & Concussions

Brain injuries are more common than you might think—especially as a result of vehicular crashes. The brain is a complex and sensitive organ, yet Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs), which includes concussions, often don’t get the awareness and education they merit.

Far too often, the symptoms are either ignored by the victim or, worse yet, dismissed by their physician or insurance company: “You’ll be fine, “ or “it will just take time; there isn’t much that you can do,” are standard answers we have heard from clients from their doctors or insurance adjusters before calling us. Insurance companies tend to delay, devalue and deny claims to protect their profit margin. We have decades of experience helping victims suffering from TBIs (including concussions) to obtain the treatment you need for your unique head injury/concussion injury from a wide range of medical specialists. We know the medicine and are committed to helping our clients deal with insurance companies, quantifying your injuries, protecting your legal rights, getting you back to where you were, and ensuring you get the medical treatment and compensation you deserve.

Facet Joint Injuries (Due to Whiplash)

Facet joint injuries can happen in a whiplash (flexion/extension) injury to the neck. The cartilage can be injured, resulting in pain and inflammation. Often, this type of injury will not appear in a standard X-Ray, MRI or CT scan.

If you’re still suffering from neck or back pain, it could be a facet joint injury. Please call us to discuss your injury treatment to date. There are effective treatment programs out there. But, first and most importantly, we can help you identify the pain specialist today so we can get you started toward a pain-free tomorrow.

Neck and Back Injuries

It’s especially important to seek medical advice immediately if you believe you’ve suffered from a neck or back injury. High on your list should be a trusted, experienced chiropractor or spine specialist. A doctor who understands the intricacies and complexities involved with injuries from automobile, motorcycle or truck accidents, as well as work-related injuries. Over the years, technology has evolved such that a Computerized Radiographic Mensuration Analysis (C.R.M.A.) imaging can prove why you are still having neck or back pain- that other imaging doesn’t measure. An experienced medical professional can help with your unique injury.

Fractures

When it comes to fractures, the most common mistake people make is neglect—not getting it treated right away. For example, that nagging pain in your side after your accident might be a broken rib. Or that mid back pain that lingers even after a visit to your primary care doctor can also indicate cracked or fractured ribs.

Sometimes fractures do not show up on x-rays in the Emergency room, but we’ve heard from clients about these symptoms time and time again. If you believe you might be suffering from a fracture, we strongly recommend a trusted medical provider who can get you to a knowledgeable radiology clinic for more imaging. If you’re looking for a referral, we know the “gold standard” imaging clinic in the Twin Cities.

Headaches

Let’s be clear: Headaches are not normal. We see this scenario far too often: Our clients suffer a neck or head injury, due to no fault of their own, only to endure ongoing headaches unlike any they had experienced prior to their injury.

Headaches are a signal, from your body to you, that there’s something wrong.

It’s important to seek a medical specialist who will help you solve the problem, not just manage the pain. There are a variety of effective treatments and resources for headaches— including medication, chiropractic treatments, physical therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, rehabilitation, injections and RFNs.

Chronic Pain

We’ve seen this story endless times before: “I’m in pain. I’ve tried everything. I guess I just have to live with it.” Nobody should “live with pain.” Especially when it’s due to no fault of your own.

Our extensive experience tells us, more often than not, a specialist is in order. We know this because we have worked with clients having chronic pain for decades.  We also can talk with you about what you have tried for treatments and, if necessary, provide additional guidance and resources for you to look into. If you’re suffering from chronic pain due to an accident or work injury, we can help you take on the insurance company to pay for the cost of your ongoing and future treatments. But, more importantly, help educate you to understand your injuries and what resources are available for your unique situation so you can start living your life pain free.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

These days, we all spend our share of time typing. So, it’s no surprise to see more and more Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) cases. CTS is known as a Gillette Injury, named after the holding in Gillette v. Harold, Inc. In that case, the Minnesota Supreme Court held a Gillette Injury occurs when the cumulative effect of repetitive trauma is sufficiently serious enough to disable the employee from further work. We’ve handled and won our share of workers’ comp claims using the Gillette Injury defense.

Although not as often, we’ve also seen trauma-induced CTS. For example, an auto accident caused immediate hand and wrist pain for a victim with no history of repetitive hand or wrist work or hobbies. The final judgement proved the accident was the cause of acute and minute trauma, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

So, whether you’re on a keyboard all day or if you’ve suffered from an accident that triggered sharp pains in your hands and wrists, we know the resources and we have the expertise to win what you deserve. But, more importantly, to get you back to a life free of pain.

TMJ

It’s commonly known as a pain and tenderness in your jaw. The Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) connects your jawbone to your skull and operates like a sliding hinge. Since this is such a critical joint that is used in talking, chewing, swallowing, and many other activities, damage to it can have a significant impact.

If you are experiencing pain, tenderness in your jaw, aching facial pain or ear pain, or a locking of your jaw, you may be experiencing symptoms associated with a TMJ injury. We’ve helped countless others win TMJ cases and our team can help you. Call today for a FREE consultation.
